AICQ Child Safety Standards
Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) — last updated: September 2026
This page sets out the binding standards of the AICQ app against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to every part of the app — private chats, groups, profiles, events, marketplace and any other feature in which users create content or get in contact with each other. A German version is available at Kinderschutz-Standards.
Zero tolerance: AICQ does not tolerate any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, endangers or sexualises children. Violations lead to immediate and permanent termination of the account and to a report to the competent authorities.
1. Minimum age
AICQ is a service for adults and young people aged 16 and over. Use by children under 16 is expressly prohibited by our Terms of Use. The minimum age is asked for during registration. If we learn that an account is operated by a person under 16, we suspend and delete that account together with its data.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited — regardless of intent, context, form of depiction or any claim of satire:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, rendered, AI-generated, edited or otherwise artificially created depictions
- any sexualised depiction of minors, including without nudity
- grooming, i.e. building trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation
- sextortion and threats to distribute intimate imagery
- offering, requesting, trading, exchanging, linking to or advertising CSAM or contact with minors
- child trafficking and any other form of sexual exploitation of minors
- trivialising, justifying, glorifying or normalising child sexual abuse
- impersonating a minor for the purpose of sexual contact
3. In-app reporting
Every user can report content and people directly inside the app, without leaving it:
- Report a chat: open the chat → menu at the top right → „Report“ → enter a reason → submit
- Report a profile: open the person’s profile → „Report“ → enter a reason → submit
- Block: same menu — the person can no longer contact you
- Support chat: Profile → Help/Support — a direct line to the operator from inside the app
- E-mail: info@aicq.app — also without an account or after uninstalling
If you suspect a child is at risk, please include the words „child safety“ in the reason. Such reports are handled with priority over all others.
4. What happens after a report
- Every report enters a review queue handled personally by the operator. Reports concerning child safety are prioritised and are normally reviewed within 24 hours.
- If the suspicion is confirmed, the content is removed and the account is permanently terminated. Re-registration by the same person is technically prevented.
- Available evidence is preserved to the extent permitted by law and kept solely for handover to law enforcement — it is not distributed and not used for any other purpose.
- The case is reported to the competent authorities (see section 5).
- On request, the reporting user is informed of the outcome; their identity is never disclosed to the reported person.
5. Handling child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
If CSAM comes to our attention, we act without delay:
- immediate removal of the content and permanent termination of the account concerned
- report to the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA) or the locally competent police authority in Germany
- where there is an international dimension, an additional report to the NCMEC CyberTipline (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, report.cybertip.org)
- preservation of evidence within the limits of the law and cooperation with the investigating authorities
- no viewing, storage or transfer of the material beyond what is strictly necessary to file the report
6. Preventive measures
- Automated review of public content: profile pictures, group images, marketplace listings and uploaded media are checked server-side by automated moderation; flagged content is blocked or queued for manual review.
- Blocking and contact protection: users can block any person; blocked people can neither message nor call them nor view their profile.
- Sign-up protection: registrations are screened for abuse, throwaway accounts and multi-accounting.
- Abuse limits: reporting and contact features carry anti-abuse limits; suspicious behaviour raises an account’s review priority.
- Clear rules: the Terms of Use name the prohibition of any endangerment of minors explicitly; violations lead to immediate termination.
7. End-to-end encryption — stated openly
Private messages in AICQ are end-to-end encrypted. The operator cannot technically read the content of private messages. This protects the privacy of all users, but it also means that we cannot automatically scan private chats for CSAE content.
For that reason, user reports are the primary detection route for private areas of the app: when a user reports a chat, their own device transmits the decrypted context we need in order to review it. Public and semi-public content is additionally subject to the automated review described in section 6.
8. Legal framework
AICQ complies with applicable child protection law, in particular:
- Sections 176 et seq., 184b, 184c of the German Criminal Code (StGB) — sexual abuse of children, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material
- the German Youth Protection Act (JuSchG) and the Interstate Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (JMStV)
- the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) — notice and action procedures and notification of serious criminal offences to the authorities (Art. 16, 18)
- the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — see our Privacy Policy
- the Google Play Developer Program Policies, in particular the Child Safety Standards policy and the Child Endangerment policy
We comply with lawful requests and orders from German and European law enforcement authorities to the extent legally required.
9. Child safety point of contact
A designated point of contact is available for all questions, reports and official enquiries concerning these standards and our CSAM prevention practices:
Child Safety Point of Contact — AICQ
Responsible person: Pawel — postal address available on request
E-mail: info@aicq.app (please begin the subject line with „Child Safety“)
Response time: normally within 48 hours
10. Help for those affected
If you are affected yourself, or you are worried about a child, please get help — free of charge and anonymously:
- Police emergency number: 110 (Germany, around the clock)
- Sexual Abuse Helpline: 0800 22 55 530 — anonymous and free (Mon, Wed, Fri 9 a.m.–2 p.m.; Tue, Thu 3 p.m.–8 p.m.)

- European child helpline: 116 111 (single number across the EU)
11. Changes to these standards
We review these standards regularly and adapt them to legal developments and new features of the app. The version published on this page is the authoritative one.
